Dorothea Benton Frank Writing Series
In honor of the late Dorothea Benton Frank, New York Times best-selling author, longtime resident of the South Carolina Lowcountry, and a steadfast friend of the College’s creative writing programs, this Writing Series aims to bring prominent, diverse, and award-winning writers and publishing industry professionals to campus.
Two components compose the Dorothea Benton Frank Writing Series:
- The Master’s Class: Renowned writers, representing a range of literary backgrounds and genres, offer an intimate workshop on the craft of writing, providing manuscript feedback and insights on the professional aspects of a writer’s career.
- Industry Talks: Agents, editors, publishers, literary managers, and television, film and theater producers share their expertise with students about the publishing industry and about careers related to the writing arts.
